bp0One of the first things I was taught as a photographer, was it only matters what you can see through the lens. Anything outside the frame doesn’t exist… at least for that photograph you are working on. Yesterday I went out for a ride on my motorcycle, it was a beautiful spring day and I headed out in the country. I made a large loop and ended up stopping by this scenic spot to take a few photos.

It appears to be an old water mill, perhaps a grist mill…. the evening sun provided a pleasing glow to add the perfect touch.

bp3I walked around the grounds for 20 or 30 minutes taking photos before deciding to go inside…. yes it’s open to the public and free to enter, in fact they love for you to come inside and take as much time as you want…

After all, that’s how they stay in business……bp6

I began my photography career in high school, 39 years later it's still what defines me more than anything else. I've had other jobs and many hobbies but just never was able to stay away from behind the lens.
