behind the foodAn old throwback photo I found… shot in mid 80’s for a food ad. The center strip is the actual “photo” — the part that was printed. In this photo you can see a bit of the set, the “behind the scenes” so to speak. The black plastic items in the top are film holders for you non-photographers, “4×5” (as in inches) was the format of the film, bottom left below the apple are polaroids used to proof the shot… these type photos use to take hours to set up and shoot then you had to wait for the film to come back to make sure you had the image correctly. A lost world compared to todays technology.
